This video source is used to receive image snapshots via FTP for low-bandwidth preview, timelapse generation, and continuous monitoring.

When configured, the server displays the latest uploaded image from the camera’s directory on the dashboard in real time.

If Record Stream is enabled, the server automatically combines the received images at regular intervals (e.g., every 30 minutes) to generate a video recording.

Blue Iris Filename Format:
ID-XXX.%Y%m%d_%H%M%S is commonly used to ensure each snapshot is saved with the camera name and timestamp for proper ordering and processing.
