This guide explains how to add your first camera, configure video streaming, enable recording, and verify live view/playback in Camlocus.
After the purchase you will receive an email with credentials to login to your server where you can create cameras, users, etc.
Login to the platform and select Cameras -> All, at the top left corner.
Step 1 – Add Camera
Open:
Cameras -> All -> Add
Enter:
- Camera Name
- Timezone
Click:
Save
Step 2 – Open Camera Settings
Open:
Camera -> Actions -> Edit -> Settings -> Video Icon
Step 3 – Configure Video Settings
Recommended settings:
- Video Source: RTMPS Stream
- Motion Detection Type: FTP Video
- Transcoding: Yes
- Record Stream: Yes
- Playback: 7 Days
Click:
Update
Step 4 – Start Streaming
Start sending video to Camlocus using one of these methods:
- Blue Iris
- FFmpeg
- RTSP camera
- Cloud Device Adapter
Step 5 – Verify Camera
Open:
Live Stream
Confirm that your camera is visible.
Open:
Playback
Confirm that recorded video is available.
