AI Object Detection

AI Object Detection helps reduce false alerts by confirming motion events and identifying detected objects.


Required Softwares:

  • Blue Iris
  • CodeProject AI installed
  • NVIDIA GPU recommended

Please check this article on how to install CodeProject AI in your PC.
Once CodeProject AI is installed, it should be enabled and visible in Settings -> AI:

Step 1 – Enable AI Recording: Go to Camera settings -> Record Tab -> Select Video: When Alerted.


Step 2 – Enable AI Alert Confirmation: Go to Alert tab and check Confirm the alert with AI. Below are examples:

Step 3 – Configure FTP Alert Uploads: We will configure blue iris to send alert images and detected objects to camlocus.


Set Action
Configure upload action


Filename: &CAM.%Y%m%d_%H%M%S%t.%001
Your camera is now configured for AI-based object detection and alert uploads. On camlocus you will see what object was detected as well.
